Thank you for visiting my site. I have recently changed my opening page as animal portraits are currently my main activity. I am a commissioning artist of all the subjects you see on the left so please browse each section and if you are interested in commissioning a painting then please contact me via email or phone.

Animal Portraits

The following are some examples of the commissioning work I do of peoples pets and animals. You will find mainly dogs, cats, horses and the odd surprise, but these paintings give you an idea of the breadth of work I now cover. The most challenging and yet the most satisfying is to paint the character of pairs or multiples of animals on the same canvas. For instance, the Irish Setters Casey & Katie will appear in November 08 in Discovering Dogs at Earls Court, they never sit still, but the painting might!

The black lab to the left is Saffie and was my first animal commission and as a result I now paint peoples pets to order and here are a few, such as this guy who is called Sabre, a huge Belgian x Shepherd but soft as mutton - thanks Audrey for loaning him to me.

Westies!

And this is Lily. When this went on exhibition in a gallery window, a passing Westy stood up to the window with both paws asking to go in and was disappointed to find she wasn't real!!

The above are Chester and Holly in various poses

And for those who haven't met him this is our Cavalier,

Flinty - friend to everyone and fool to all

And this is Oz

Nancy - the first of many Blue Roans - which happened to be my Mum and Dads first dog!

I know, a bit big for a hampster but heh, Mr Scampers is a big guy!

And this is Freckles, I wonder why!

And here are some examples of families - These are painted on 36 x 24 canvas and one of my favourite things to do is arrange families in ways you could never get them to pose.

Horses! This is Bertie who resides at Burley manor Stables

Can I also introduce you to Twinkle, sometimes known as Fleeting Magic, a beautiful 5 year old filly, trained and raised by Rosie Jones of Swindon. The Grand Sire of this horse was Mill Reef, the 1971 Derby winner

This is Archie who is owned, trained and loved by Mr and Mrs Eric Winter
