Swallow Falls

He will lead them to springs of living water and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes” Revelation 7 v 17

Ten miles north of Bala in Wales, as the crow flies, around the corner from Betws-y-Coed, lies the beauty of Swallow Falls. The water is cold and clear having cascaded from the snow fields of Snowdonia, crashing and cutting through the rocks, cleaning and refreshing the landscape before settling to form the dramatic and most picturesque river, the Conway. This painting is very special to me as this is my first painting and it happens to be only 10 miles away from Bala where I recognised Jesus as my saviour in 1974. Praise God!

Old Roundhill - Brook

No its not a photograph but for any who are inspired to have their house captured for posterity heres a few ideas. This picture was painted over a period of 3 months and captured every flowering shrub in the garden. Its a mixture of about 5 photographs with the commissioner requesting certain doors to be open and certain pets to be included. I love architecture and so it was a special honour to capture this beautiful house with all its glories.

Asian Tiger

Two of our young friends were going to South East Asia to help in a childrens home. I organised a “slaves auction” which we called 50:50, meaning that 50% of the money went to the person donating the service and the rest went to the girls on the trip. People offered spring cleaning, windsurfing lessons, trips in the Solent on their boats and this picture was specifically painted and auctioned to help to support that trip. I believe the original is now somewhere in Bristol!

The Elephants

Thanks to Jannick and Anne who wanted a painting for his mum in Antigua - hope you liked the Mum! These are all Zambian elephants taken from scenes I had taken in 1977 whilst on a trip to visit the Leprosy missions in the North East of the country, whilst the elephants were in the south near the Luwangwe.
